Cool Stuff You Can Do With 4D Write Pro – Pat Bensky

In this meeting, we welcome back the coolest cat in the 4D community… a cat named Pat. Pat Bensky has been developing CatBase since the 80’s. CatBase is a database publishing software that turns spreadsheets and databases into ready‑to‑print catalogues, price lists, and directories. Pat will give us a behind the scenes tour of how she unleashes 4D Write Pro to deliver the great functionalities her users have come to rely on.

4D Write Pro is a powerful template-based document generator system entirely programmable and fully integrated into 4D. With 4D Write Pro delivering the key functionality, CatBase users can create a complete publication – such as a catalog, directory or price list – including a cover page, index, and illustrated content drawn from the database. With one single click, the publication can be created and saved as a 4D Write Pro document, a Word document, and/or a PDF.

Pat Bensky will demo the implementation of 4D Write Pro in CatBase and give an overview of how it works. Come and see some of the important features and cool things that can be accomplished using the WP commands and functions.
