js.component: Part 2 – Aparajita Fishman

Wednesday, March 16, 2022, 12:00 noon, CDT (UTC−5:00)

Special Topic:
js.component: Part 2 – Aparajita Fishman

In the previous 4DMethod meeting on March 2, Aparajita Fishman gave us a look at js.component, a pure 4D component comprising 30 classes with over 400 functions. However we had one problem… there was so much functionality packed into the component that we didn’t have time enough in the meeting to cover some important features. So… he is coming back.

Normally 4DMethod meetings include a review of news from 4D, recent Blog and Knowledge Base articles, and other news from the 4D community. We covered the news in our meeting on March 2. This meeting is going to be all special feature!

Aparajita Fishman will continue his demo of js.component, first with an in depth review and Q&A of what was shown in the previous presentation. Then he will continue with a focus on Logging, Error, Timeout, Performance, and Testing. We will also continue to learn about the class structure of the component and complex Object-oriented techniques.
